Why We Exist
Jumping from an aircraft at 1,200 feet teaches you something about security that no certification ever will. As a Jumpmaster in the 82nd Airborne Division – responsible for the safety, readiness, and training of paratroopers – a very particular understanding of what security actually means was forged. Not the technology that supports it. The people who practice it.
Transitioning into cybersecurity made one thing immediately obvious: there is a massive gap between the IT and cyber sector and the rest of the workforce. Having served in those units made that gap even more frustrating – because the answer is already proven. Our military does not win because of superior technology. It wins because of people, through sustained, deliberate, and realistic cross-training.
We spend more time in the digital world than in the physical one. Yet most people have no working understanding of how it functions – not even the fundamentals. It is a world where crime is pervasive, sophisticated, and relentless. And the only people who truly understand that crime are the ones committing it. The knowledge was never transferred.
This is not a technology failure. It is a training failure.
Common sense is only common to those who share the common knowledge of a given domain.
Paratroopers are elite forces. Not because jumping from an aircraft is inherently exceptional – anyone can learn to do that. They are elite because of the level of proficiency built through relentless, deliberate training.
Before every jump, Jumpmasters conduct detailed instruction. Paratroopers rehearse everything from actions inside the aircraft to landing procedures. Every repetition serves a single mission: to seize key objectives behind enemy lines with precision and confidence. Simulations. Live exercises. Continuous evaluation. The standard never drops.
A paratrooper is not a job title. It is a mindset – developed and sustained through reiteration, training, and discipline.
That is the model.
Threat actors do not care about expensive technology. That is just an obstacle they route around. People are the strongest line of defense – and quarterly training will never build the resilience necessary to make that true.
CyberSense exists to build cybersecurity knowledge into daily life, through multiple approaches that fit different workforces and different lifestyles. To make awareness a habit, not an annual checkbox.

The Story
CyberSense.Solutions was founded by a U.S. Army veteran – an 82nd Airborne Jumpmaster who spent a career training people to perform under pressure – who transitioned into cybersecurity and found a landscape that had the technology mostly right and the people problem almost entirely wrong.
Entering the cybersecurity field as a career transitioner made the gap between the security sector and the rest of the workforce immediately visible – and immediately recognizable. It was the same gap the military had already solved: not with better equipment, but with deliberate, sustained, realistic training that builds a culture capable of taking care of itself.
CyberSense.Solutions is early in its journey. The newsletter is live. The platform is live. The mission is defined. The model is proven – just not yet applied at scale to the digital world. That is the work.
